The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) have released their cost-of-living adjustments for the Food Stamp (FS) program, which will become effective October 1, 2011. The adjustments will affect the following items:
FS standard deduction
Maximum excess shelter deduction
Income limits for the 130% Gross Income Test, 165% Gross Income Test, 200% Gross Income Test, and the 100% Net Income Test
Standard Utility Allowance (SUA) amounts
New York State Nutrition Improvement Project (NYSNIP) standardized benefit levels
