The purpose of this policy bulletin is to inform staff that recently a number of Medicare Savings Program (MSP) recipients had two months of their Medicare part D premium erroneously deducted from them at one time.
It is possible that due to this double deduction, these recipients may fall behind on their rent payments and have been instructed to go to the nearest Job Center if they need emergency assistance.
