The purpose of this policy bulletin is to inform all Job Center and Non Cash Assistance Food Stamp (NCA FS) Center staff of the free Summer Meals Program administered by the New York City Department of Education (DOE).
From June 29 through August 28, 2009, the Summer Meals Program will provide breakfast and lunch at no charge to all children under 19 years of age, at more than 600 public schools, pools, parks, and other sites in each of the five boroughs. Breakfast will be served from 8:00 AM to 9:15 AM; lunch will be served from 11:00 AM to 1:15 PM.
