The purpose of this policy bulletin is to inform all Non Cash Assistance Food Stamp (NCA FS) Center staff about a mailing that is being sent to a select class of Supplemental Security Income (SSI)recipients.
The Important Notice: You May Be Eligible To Receive Food Stamp Benefits (EXP-85P) form advises select SSI recipients, identified by the Social Security Administration, that they may be eligible for Food Stamp (FS) benefits. Form EXP-85P also provides instructions to the select SSI recipients on how and where to apply for FS benefits.
