The Internal Revenue Service (IRS), New York State (NYS) and New York City (NYC) provide various tax credits that aid families and individuals with low to moderate income by reducing their tax liability. EITC refunds must be excluded as income and resources for Cash Assistance (CA) and/or Food Stamp (FS) purposes.
