97-33 Coding Changes-Care at Home Program.pdf

Documents : OAH Procedures Transmittals for 1997

97-33: New Agency Designation, DOH2, and Coding Changes for the Care at Home Wavier Program I, II, III, IV, and V (10/23/97)

The coding for the Care at Home Waiver Program previously administered by the NYS Department of Social Services and now administered by the NYS Department of Health has been changed to minimize confusion related to these issues. Previously, the Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (OMRDD) had agreed to accept all requests involving all five programs (I, II, III, IV, V), although OMRDD is only concerned with Care at Home III and IV (See OAH Transmittal 96-20).

Future coding should direct requests to the Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (agency field OMR1) for Care at Home III and IV, only. The NYS Department of Health will be notified for Care at Home programs I, II, and V by utilizing new agency field DOH2.
