A new agency field, NBFI (New York City Bureau of Fraud Investigation), will be used to code NYC fair hearing requests involving Concurrent Benefits issues. The notices are initiated by HRA.
Further identifying characteristics for the NBFI agency field coding may include use of the WMS closing code 30-5, language in the notice referring to concurrent benefits, and/or language in the notice that a computer match matches that of a person already receiving public assistance. Use of the NBFI agency field code will ensure notification to:
