It is no longer necessary for Communications Intake staff to add NYS5 as a secondary agency to upstate cases involving issue code 241, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and/or Registered Nurse (RN)--OHSM. The NYS5 designation ensured notice and forwarding of a decision after hearing to Kathy Sherry of the Office of Medicaid Management. Ms. Sherry no longer requires notice or decisions on these cases.
Please continue to code cases involving this issue against HSM1 to ensure notification and decision issuance to William Hamilton of the NYS Department of Health, Office of Medicaid Management (OMM).
