Issue Code 910 (4/20/98 FS/FAP Rebudget) has been established to assist in tracking cases pertaining to the rebudgeting of Food Stamps (FS) or Food Assistance Program (FAP) benefits for households containing an ineligible alien. The 910 issue code should be added to New York City hearing requests generated by the April 20, 1998 Notice of Intent to Change Food Stamps.
Approximately 20,000 households were rebudgeted correctly and approximately 5,000 households were advised of a negative effect to their FS or FAP benefit. Since the notices were dated April 20 and may have been mailed somewhat later than that, it has been determined that all requests (other than inadequacy issues) taken pursuant to this notice should be coded aid continuing.
