A new Issue Code has been created for use when the hearing request pertains to an action on an appellant's Personal Care/Home Care based on a fiscal assessment. The issue code is as follows:
259 ACTION ON PERSONAL CARE/HOME CARE AS A RESULT OF FISCAL ASSESSMENT
This code should be used, rather than Issue Code 246, for all requests pertaining to Personal Care issues involving a fiscal assessment. All other Personal Care issues, including actions based on medical assessments, should continue to be coded as 246.
Certified Home Health Aide issues relating to fiscal assessments and medical assessments should continue to be coded as 262 and 261, respectively.
