04-09: Elimination of Subcategory 499 for 60-Month Time Limit Issues (09/02/04)

This transmittal supersedes OAH Transmittal 01-48, issued on November 14, 2001. Effective immediately, there is no longer a need for OAH staff to enter Subcategory 499 when coding NYC 60-Month Time Limit Issues for sanctioned individuals, as the NYC Human Resources Administration’s Office of Family Independence Administration (FIA) no longer requires that these cases be scheduled to a separate NEVR calendar.

These cases can be identified by WMS Issue Code 499 ("Five-Year Call In for Sanctioned Clients"). Use of the 499 Subcategory formerly ensured notification to both NYC Eligibility Verification Review (NEVR) and Family Independence Administration (FIA), whereas these cases will now be the sole responsibility of FIA.

There is no change in the Statewide 60-Month Time Limit Coding Procedures as outlined in OAH Transmittal 01-49 for active (non-sanctioned) cases.
