Effective September 1, 2004, the New York City Human Resources Administration (HRA) has requested that OAH notify their Bureau of Eligibility Verification (BEV) on all cases pertaining to SSI Lump Sum Payments in addition to the current notification to the NYC Interim Assistance Review (NIAR) program. The BEV (formerly EVR) has assumed responsibility for providing representation at the hearings whereas NIAR will continue to administer the cases.
