The person hired for this position will work with an attorney on addressing community concerns surrounding vacant and abandoned properties in Erie County. This individual will act as paralegal for the attorney working on this project, helping with case related activities as well as work with community members to find resolutions to bring properties into code compliance and potentially transfer them to parties with the resources and desire to fix the property. Activities will include meeting with municipalities, community groups, and neighbors, Attending housing court on behalf of the neighbors, working with homeowners to bring property into code compliance and or transfer property.
