Full Time, Attorney
The Center for Elder Law & Justice, Inc. (CELJ) is seeking to fill an exciting new position for a dynamic attorney with a technological background.
Job Specifications:
- Development & Expansion of our Legal Risk Detection and Senior Financial Safety Tool application software. The Senior Financial Safety Tool is a web-based app used by financial institutions, as well as older adults themselves, to screen for any risk(s) of elder financial exploitation, and provide resources for the risk factor(s) discovered
- Strong focus on training, development and implementation
- Local and national travel is required
- Implementation of new, innovative methods of service delivery
- Direction and expansion of our Mobile Legal Unit
- Handle a limited caseload derived from the above innovations
Preferred qualifications:
- Admitted to practice in NYS
- 0-10 years of experience, previous experience in legal services preferred
- Comfortable speaking and engaging publicly
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately while exhibiting patience and diplomacy
- Previous experience, or an interest in, legal technology and service models, preferred
- Strong, professional, verbal and written communication skills.
