Neighborhood
Legal Services, Inc. seeks to hire a Paralegal in our Buffalo Office to work
with Social Security or SSI disability beneficiaries who work or plan to
work.
Duties include: interviewing beneficiaries; gathering
information about benefits, personal circumstances, and employment; analyzing
impact of work on benefits and availability of work incentives; and preparing
extensive written analysis. Relevant
experience preferred but extensive training will be provided on complex body of
regulations and policy. Spanish speaking/writing ability a plus.
Must have good communication and writing
skills, demonstrated commitment to the goals and clients of the legal services
program, sensitivity to the needs of people challenged by poverty and/or
disability.
