Hiscock Legal Aid Society, a nonprofit legal aid organization, seeks a law
assistant for its Appeals Program. The law assistant will, among other things,
gather documents and prepare records on appeal, maintain a case management
system, process correspondence, and communicate with court personnel.
Qualifications: paralegal certificate or equivalent work experience; proficient
in Word, Excel, and Access or other database software; strong attention to
detail; excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; experience and/or
commitment to working with low-income persons.
