Neighborhood Legal Services,
Inc. seeks applicants for a Public Benefits Paralegal in our Batavia Office to
provide health insurance enrollment assistance to individuals and small businesses
in Genesee and Wyoming counties through NY States MarketPlace. This is a grant
position and requires a NYSDoH Certification which will be obtained after a
mandatory training. Duties will include advising clients on eligibility for
public and private health insurance like Medicaid, Child Health Plus, and the
Essential Plan. Qualifications: A minimum of one year experience
providing assistance to consumers and/or advocates on health insurance and
health care access issues, ability to work in more than one work site, must be
willing and able to work in a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic work environment
and flexible work schedule, some evenings or weekends required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Salary dependent upon experience. Excellent benefits. Minorities, women, persons with disabilities, gay, lesbian,
